Her affiliation with our synagogue was a meaningful expression of loyalty to our faith. Lt. Col.

Marvin T. Ross, a retired Air Force pilot and a project manager for almost 20 years at Westinghouse Aerospace division in Baltimore, died of a heart attack Feb. 3 at a medical center in Florida. He was 86. Colonel Ross was born in Spring Hill, Kan.

He joined the Army Air Corps in 1943 and became a B-24 bomber pilot assigned to the 15th Air Force in Italy. He flew more than 50 bombing missions during World War II, earning the Distinguished Flying Cross and four Air Medals. He remained in the Air Force after the war, serving as a pilot in the Korean conflict, followed by other foreign assignments and duty at the Pentagon. When he retired from the Air Force in 1968, Colonel Ross became an electronic counter-measures manager, working on Air Force-related projects for Westinghouse in Baltimore. His first wife, Joanne, died in 1977, and Colonel Ross married Dottie Dumbauld in 1979.

The couple moved to Melbourne, in 1985 and bought two restaurants, which Colonel Ross' son, Rick Ross of Palm Bay, managed. Colonel Ross is to be buried in March at Arlington National Cemetery. In addition to his wife and son, Colonel Ross is survived by another son, Mike Ross of Millersville; two granddaughters; and a sister, Thelma Hol-linger of Olathe, Kan. bowel surgery at Gilchrist Center for Hospice Care in Towson. She was 74.

Born Patricia Lilly, she was raised in Homeland and attended Notre Dame Preparatory School from kindergarten until she graduated from high school in 1950. She would walk the mile from her home to the school's former location at what is now the College of Notre Dame of Maryland campus. She sometimes got in trouble with the nuns for sliding down the banister of a tall staircase at the school, recalled her brother, William S. Lilly IV. "She had fiery red hair and definitely lived up to it," said her daughter, Jocelyn Held of Glen Arm.

An avid athlete, Mrs. Geritz was the captain of the field hockey team at Notre Dame, but dance was her passion. Geritz while teaching ballroom dancing. Mr. Geritz died in 2003. "He was Mr. Maryland Body Builder, and he was trying to get some social graces and ended up with the instructor," Mr.

Lilly said. After settling in Rodgers Forge, the couple threw many parties and surprised friends by hanging their Christmas tree upside down from the ceiling, Mrs. Held said. "My mom would celebrate every single occasion to the top," she said. Mrs.

Geritz decorated the entire house for Valentine's Day and left her children a series of presents on their birthdays, one on the breakfast table, one in the car and one in their lunchboxes. She worked as an administrative assistant for many years, first at VanSant Dugdale advertising, then for doctors offices and finally as an assistant executive secretary to Govs. Harry R. Hughes and William Donald Schaefer before retiring. She was active in the local theater community and was a charter member of the Baltimore Actors' Theatre.

She also served as a board member of the Baltimore Academy of the Visitation. After a funeral Mass on Thursday, her body was buried at St. Mary's Cemetery in Homeland. Her grave overlooks the field where she once played sports, her daughter said. Also surviving are a sister, Lois L.

Wondersek, a reclusive writer who spent most of the days of his adult life at the public library, died of throat cancer Tuesday at the Joseph Ritchie Hospice in Baltimore. He was 62. Raised in eastern Baltimore County, Mr. Wondersek was a 1962 graduate of Parkville High School and received his bachelor's degree in English from the University of Maryland, College Park in 1968. He worked at Bethlehem Steel for nine years in the 1970s, but spent most of his time reading and writing at the North Point Library in Dundalk, said a brother, Karl W.

Wondersek Jr. of Staunton, Va. "He told me last week that he had read every book in the library that was worth reading," his brother said. A frugal man, Mr. Wondersek made ends meet by working odd jobs and living in his par-ents' Dundalk home, his brother said.

"He reminded me a bit of Mark Twain in his later years," his brother said. "He had a lot to say about politics. He was an observer of human nature." His brother discovered Mr. Wondersek' longest written work, an unpublished 300-page novel titled Irene Stoddlmeyer, among his belongings after his death. Plans for a memorial service were incomplete.

Survivors also include his mother, May V. Wondersek of Fisherville, and another brother, Richard A. Wondersek of Roeland Park, Kan. Anders, the former postmaster of Oella and a longtime soup kitchen volunteer, died of pneumonia Feb. 5 at Charlestown Retirement Community in Catons-ville. She was 88. Born Margaret Kilduff, she was the eldest of 10 children of an Abingdon blacksmith. After graduating from St.

Stephens High School in Bradshaw and Mount St. Agnes College in Baltimore, she married Cecil Trinkhaus, the Oella postmaster in 1941. Mrs. Anders became the assistant postmaster and, when her husband died, she took over as postmaster in CASE, Craig Edward On February 10, 2007, CRAIG EDWARD CASE, beloved husband of Cindy Jo Case (nee Pickett), devoted father of Benjamin Ryan Shane and Jesse W. Case, dear son of Mona Hatter and the late Wayne Joseph Case and loving brother of David W.

Case, Patti Standing Case, Mona Chaney, Denise Sosa and Michelle Mason. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and step-brothers and sisters. The family will receive friends from 1 to 3 and 5 to 7 P.M. on Tuesday at the Haight Funeral Home Chapel (6416 Sykesville Rd) Sykesville. A funeral service will follow at 7 P.M.

Later, she became the Ellicott City postmaster. With her second husband, Raymond Anders, she traveled abroad and made frequent trips to Ocean City. After he died in 1993, she moved to Charlestown and continued to travel. Mrs. Anders volunteered with the Beans Bread soup kitchen in Fells Point for many years, said her sister, Teresa Swift of Towson.

"She went down every week," her sister said. "She prepared casseroles and stayed and served them." She was also a member of the Catholic Daughters of America. A funeral mass was held Thursday. Survivors also include a stepson, Donald Anders of Naples, two other sisters, Frances Justice of Columbia and Marian R. Derby of Bel Air; and four brothers, James Kilduff of Reading, Albert Kilduff and Joseph Kilduff of Edgewood, and Thomas Kilduff of Bel Air.

i FRANK RODRIGUEZ, 86 Activist, politician Frank Rodriguez, a labor activist and the first Hispanic elected to the Minnesota House, died Friday. He was 86. Mr. Rodriguez had suffered a heart attack, his grandson said. He lived most of his life on the west side of St.

Paul, where he was widely known for his work on behalf of Hispanics and for his pioneering election to the House in 1979. Mr. Rodriguez worked in construction as a young man before becoming recording secretary and then secretary-treasurer of Construction and General Laborers Local 132 for more than 30 morning in a Salem nursing home, his nephew said. He would have celebrated his lllth birthday Thursday. Jim Benson of the federal Veterans Administration Department of Veterans Affairs, said Mr.

His election as the first Hispanic member of the Legislature prompted allegations of voting irregularities and countercharges of racism, but an investigation found no voter fraud.
