Yes, true. Speaking from experience. But that's what you need. The Democrats need the moron vote to stay in office. You know, we had one of our friend's son, he's coming home from college. He's at GCU in Phoenix.
Starting point is 00:01:42 And so he's coming home and he decided he wanted to come through Fredericksburg. So he stayed here for a couple of days. He's 22. And I am so pleased because, you know, this is Gen Z. This is prime Gen Z. I'm like, well, let's see what this guy is about. And here's the good news.
Starting point is 00:02:02 If they can get past the Snapchat phase, which is bad. These kids don't even text message, just send pictures of each other to each other. You know, forget that. I don't know how to write, but I can take a picture. Literally, just like, you know, expression or I guess at a certain point nudies. But if they can get past that, here's what I learned. He's like, we all know about 9-11. We all know it was an inside job.
Starting point is 00:02:36 This is good news. I was very pleased to hear this. I was like, yeah, no, no, no. We know. We know. We know what's going on so i felt really good oh there's there's a there's a shot there's a shot for our american youths but 16 no no no that's not good so i think there's one of those pivot moments that we're always looking for on the show, something that we can sink our teeth into, where there's something, either something is revealed or there's some massive switch or change that helps us understand the direction of media, elites, elite messaging systems, etc.
Starting point is 00:03:30 You must have something on your mind i do have something on my mind so the there's a now typically drinking club world economic forum they have the saudi version which uh you know most people i think they're like oh let, let's go to Davo. Davo is where I want to be. Davo. You want to go skiing. Skiing. You want to go skiing and be in Davos or Davo. But the Saudi edition is kind of an interim thing. And so they have a lot.
Starting point is 00:04:01 They're not even doing the full sessions. You really have to search around for them. And you might as well just skip over the keynotes. It's also stupid. But Larry Fink was on a panel, like a three-person panel. And I think Larry Fink, when he says something, people listen. He's the CEO and chairman. I mean, he's the big kahuna over BlackRock. He runs the show.
Starting point is 00:04:23 He runs BlackRock black rock which you know runs controls wait they controls the assets of more than the gdp of most countries yes like is it 10 trillion dollars worth of assets ridiculous whatever it is but it's a lot so and you know and i think everyone has seen black rock they own it all black rock, they own it all. Well, they don't own it all, but they do have 5% of most companies. And they do have voting shares on boards. And so when Larry... Are you... Sorry.
Starting point is 00:04:55 I like it though. I'm trying to get you a drum roll for this because you're getting there wherever you're going. I don't know. Give me a beat, baby. I need it. So Fink is on this panel and I have two clips from Fink. And at first, I'm like, oh, man.
Starting point is 00:05:10 And I wasn't quite sure where this was going, but keeping in the back of my mind that we are reaching the top of this solar cycle, as we see right now, it's 70 degrees outside. It's May in Texas. It should be about 90 right now. So the solar cycle is changing. We're going towards cooling. We know the peak is coming somewhere around 2025, may extend to 2030,
Starting point is 00:05:36 which will be just in time for everyone to say, we did it. Let's do more. This is great. We're on track. Let's do more. This is great. We're on track. And at the same time, he's really signaling about his belief in artificial intelligence.
Starting point is 00:05:56 And the second clip will reveal the new pivot. But first, let's listen to Larry's full-on belief and how much money we really need to make this AI thing a reality. Because of the amount of capital that's needed for AI, all the new technology that we've developed, probably in its entirety, was a domain of startups. And the whole ecosystem was venture capital and startups. The ecosystem has changed dramatically. AI is a domain of large caps. And I do believe to properly build out AI,
Starting point is 00:06:35 we're talking about trillions of dollars of investing. So data centers today could be as much as 200 megahertz. They're now talking about data centers that are going to be one gigawatt. That powers a city. There was one tech company that I spoke to the CEO last week who said right now all their data centers is about five gigawatts.
Starting point is 00:06:55 By 2030, they need 30 gigawatts. 30. The amount of power that's needed to use AI has huge impact on society. Where's that power going to come from? Are we going to take it off the grid? What does it mean for elevated energy prices for everybody else if it's that? I think it's going to represent some huge societal questions
Starting point is 00:07:19 that we have not addressed the negative side. Forget about the use of it, but just the generation of it is massive power. But that is a huge investment opportunity. So the world is going to be short power. Short power. And to power these data companies, you cannot have just this intermittent power like wind and solar. You need dispatchable
Starting point is 00:07:47 power because you can't turn off and on these data centers. I just want to end on a positive note. All this presents massive economic opportunity. We're talking about technology and all that stuff, but think about if to build these things, you're going to
Starting point is 00:08:03 have to go along air conditioning companies. The that stuff. But think about if to build these things, you're going to have to go along air conditioning companies. I mean, the basic stuff. I mean, the amount of investments that are going to be needed to do all this, alongside investing in the emerging world and healthcare and all the other issues. This is why I'm bullish. I see
Starting point is 00:08:19 opportunity. I don't see problems as much as massive opportunity. Okay, so long power or short power, as he said. He said short power. We're going to be short power. So not a single word about climate change in this entire discussion. Only, well, you know, screw Africa.
Starting point is 00:08:43 Too bad for those guys. But to me, this signals nuclear power that takes too long to build that because, of course, we need trillions of dollars of investment, which is just insane to even think of, because it'll work once we invest trillions of dollars. Then it'll work. Trust me, it'll work then. And I'm like, what is going on with this? And then he just blows me away with this complete pivot on what we have always, and he even
Starting point is 00:09:13 confirms that this has always been the belief. The belief is that as long as your population grows, this is from the former New York banker, our banking insiders, they all agree. Oh yeah yeah we need populations to grow so that we can suppress wages because that's the only thing the the the banker the bankers the system doesn't control inflation and interest rates okay they think they have some control over it so you know we're sterilizing our kids we're chopping off their body parts you know we we've we don't want aborting children
Starting point is 00:09:45 and we're not growing so open up the borders bring them in bring them in bring them in and that is truly for that reason and i think we're we're both on board with that this is what the bankers are telling us and now with ai larry fink makes a pivot if you forecast out the transformation that we're going to see across all societies because of ai robotics sensor technology the speed in which this change is going to occur i could argue in the developed countries the big winners are countries that have shrinking populations okay that's something that most people never talked about you know we always In the developed countries, the big winners are countries that have shrinking populations. That's something that most people never talked about. We always used to think shrinking population is a cause for negative growth. But in my conversations with the leadership of these large developed countries that have xenophobic immigration policies,
Starting point is 00:10:47 countries that have xenophobic immigration policies. They don't allow anybody to come in. Shrinking unemployment, excuse me, shrinking demographics. These countries will rapidly develop robotics and AI and technology. And if the promise, I didn't say it's going to happen, but if the promise of all that transforms productivity, which most of us think it will, we'll be able to elevate the standard of living of countries, the standard of living of individuals, even with shrinking populations. And so the paradigm of negative population growth is going to be changing. growth is going to be changing and the social problems that one will have in substituting humans for machines is going to be far easier in those countries that have declining populations and so for those countries that have rising populations the answer will be education and so rapidly develop you know for those countries that do not have a foundation of rule of law or education, they're going to be left. That's where the divide is going to get more and more extreme.
Starting point is 00:11:52 So I'm like, whoa, he just he just admitted that we always say, oh, no, any population growth. So we don't need that anymore because and he's got to believe that AI is the future and robotics. He's saying countries with xenophobic immigration policies, all that I could think of was Trump. They want Trump in, close the borders, drill baby drill for our data center power. And I think he's going to push this well it seems unlikely to me because he's such a die-hard democrat but maybe he's he's in charge of some of these things maybe his position gets him to allow unless he's been taken aside and said, look. Look. Fink. Fink.
Starting point is 00:12:45 Fink. Fink. Finkle. Listen up. Hey, Mr. Fink. Well, I don't know. I just want to keep that in mind that if he's saying this. It's a good point.
Starting point is 00:12:57 I think it was a good catch. Here's two supporting clips. The largest employment sector in the United states is trucking truck drivers these 18 wheelers are designed to carry all sorts of cargo but one thing they won't be carrying a driver by the end of the year aurora tractor trailers are expected to begin cruising the highways hauling freight between dallas and houston now this is a huge test they're doing in north texas uh with driverless trucks and i'm pretty sure they're gonna roll that out over the course of the next five to ten years. That probably will be a thing. You can make a lane for trucks and, you know, just cruise down the highway.
Starting point is 00:13:36 It'll take a while. But regardless, that's what they're thinking. That's what they're investing in. And so I'm like, well, we still have all these immigrants coming in. What are we going to do with them you know if if we turn to robotics and we we don't even need uh people to flip burgers or to make the donuts at uh you know but uh at the donut stand that's all automated and then it hit me we need gig workers we need these people to drive our deliveries.
Starting point is 00:14:05 This is right out of Neal Stephenson's Snow Crash when the only thing on the street is people who deliver stuff. And Colorado is ahead. They know exactly what we need to get these gig workers on the road. Everybody deserves the basic human right to be able to get a license so they can take their kids to school. basic human right to be able to get a license so they can take their kids to school. State Representative Tim Hernandez is hoping to give all new immigrants that opportunity. People need to be able to participate in our community safely. There's already a law that allows this. It passed in 2013, but requires people to live in the state for two years, provide a social security number, and file income taxes.
Starting point is 00:14:46 We're striking all of that and saying if you're in Colorado and you have forms of identification that prove that that's who you are, you're entitled to get a driver's license. Fernandez says it would also expand the list of identifying documents that are accepted at the DMV. Because we're getting not just immigrants from Venezuela, we're getting folks from Honduras, folks from Guatemala, folks from Mexico, folks from Syria, folks from Palestine, folks from all over the place. So far, more than 41,000
Starting point is 00:15:14 new immigrants have arrived to Denver since December of 2020. So it's not about, everyone's like, oh, that's so they can vote. No! We want them driving for Amazon and Walmart and DoorDash and your Uber. You want them driving for amazon and walmart and doordash and your uber you want them to vote too well it's a nice benefit side side i mean just in case those
Starting point is 00:15:34 those southerners you know suddenly become all christian and vote for trump we still want them to drive i i that's yeah there is a point to be made with the fact that these many of these immigrants are catholics and are not going to sign on to the democrat weirdness no and we already know that they're outpacing uh american gig workers illegally because they don't have licenses or insurance so let's bring them in and they and whatever's left over that can't drive, they can clean our homes, walk our dogs. Toilets.
Starting point is 00:16:10 Clean the toilets. Yeah, that's what the Democrats want. Clean our homes. Yeah, especially polish the toilets. Cook, cook. They're great at cooking. They have dynamite cooking. Cooking.
Starting point is 00:16:21 Good cooking, good cooking. Hey, would you like some tacos? Yeah, yeah, sure. And then, you know, everyone, all of these kids who haven't, you know, been re-schooled yet to program, you know, everyone could be a prompt jockey. Sit at home. Be a prompt jockey. A PJ. Starting point is 00:16:40 A prompt jockey. And if that's not enough, we'll just give you some CBDC. We'll give you some money. Some UBI. I'm seeing a future. And I'm seeing a future that includes Trump. Ever the optimist. So I have some backup clips for you.

Well, this plays right into that because we have this battle going on, and I think it will be a dichotomy between what Fink had to say about low population countries or declining populations and the bankers thinkingers thinking no no no do you want more people and finks is just a theory by the way because he's already said you had to do all
Starting point is 00:17:32 those power issues all this ai stuff it's all a pipe dream yes of course it's a pipe and so that's just theory the old-fashioned thinking is the other way, which is the increasing population. Starting point is 00:18:01 But we're talking about the flights coming into this into the country. Yes. Which is like this is why even stop at the border, just fly them straight to Colorado. That's right. So where do you think they're flying? Most of them too, though, this documents have been coming out because we have troublemakers in Congress that want to find out about this stuff because it's going to affect their, the and here we go wow immigration fly-ins won new documents show the cities to which the biden administration has been flying immigrants in the controversial parole program that skips over the border this as a new poll shows americans still believe that immigration is the most critical issue facing the u.s entities virginia gibson
Starting point is 00:18:42 has more in january of last year, the Biden administration expanded an immigration program. It allows migrants from Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua, and Venezuela to receive parole and fly directly into the U.S. The Department of Homeland Security never shared where the flights land. Reports previously suggested that Florida might be a key destination. That's despite the fact that the Republican-led state is against uncontrolled immigration. Now, House Republicans have obtained documents through a subpoena. They show where the immigrant flights landed during the first half of 2023. landed during the first half of 2023 miami and fort lauderdale were leading the list with over 150 000 arrivals in total in comparison new york city is in the third spot with only around 15 000
Starting point is 00:19:36 arrivals oh that makes so much sense and that's remember we had on the last show the the contract that geo partners or whatever from florida who have a five-year 25 million dollar a year contract to fly immigrants for department of uh immigrations homeland security yeah yeah this is cool so the first few months of 2023 they got this i mean the numbers must be outrageous by now but just in the first few months of 2023, they have over 100,000 people flown into Miami and Fort Lauderdale. I'm so happy that our governor here in Texas went down to Eagle Pass and created a forward operating base. Like, I'm fighting him. I'm fighting the federal government.
Starting point is 00:20:19 No, you're not, you globalist. Yeah. It's phony. All phony. Not you, globalist. Yeah. Phony. All phony.
Starting point is 00:20:31 Yeah, there's a lot of, definitely a lot of, there's a lot of games being played. Here we go with part two. In total, the program flies immigrants to 50 different cities across the country. Florida Governor Ron DeSantis on Tuesday commented on the program, focusing on President Biden. Not only is he releasing, letting people come through the border, he's actually flying in people from places like Haiti under an illegal parole program. I just love that this guy is surprised. He's shocked. We've been shocked. We've been talking about this for, what, two years?
Starting point is 00:21:04 Like, hello, have you seen the airports? We have people reporting boots on the ground that they've got United Nations tote bags. And then when you land, they swap it out for an NPR tote bag. But this is, and now, oh, I can't believe the Biden administration is doing this. Oh, I can't believe the Biden administration is doing this. The Biden administration argues the program is a safe and orderly way to bring immigrants into the U.S., avoiding human trafficking and other dangers. Republicans from the House Homeland Security Committee on Wednesday. And then there's videos of these handlers with young, young boys in airports with paperwork and people go up to them saying is this your kid and like uh and they just and they won't answer or the holdups of un
Starting point is 00:21:52 paperwork and then they say to the kids like is this you know this guy who's with you but it stops human trafficking okay criticize secretary alejandro mayorkas over the program. They said that this violation of the Immigration and Nationality Act is just one reason the House voted to impeach him. Also on Wednesday, Committee Chairman Mark Green spoke on a panel of the Center for Immigration Studies discussing the failed Mayorkas impeachment. The failure to remove him from office from that is an incentive to people to do whatever they want. We just further strengthen the royalty of the executive branch. This comes as a new Gallup poll shows that 27% of Americans say immigration is the most important problem the U.S. is facing.
Starting point is 00:22:45 It's more than any other issue, including the government, the economy, and inflation. The poll did not differentiate between legal and illegal immigration. Yeah, those are great supporting clips. I mean, in the context of Trump's going to come in, he's going to shut it all down, shut down those flights. Everything needs to come out. Season of reveal. Let everybody know. Oh, it's a scandal.
Starting point is 00:23:09 We need to shut it down because, you know, AI can take over and we have enough people for gig work. Give them a license. Give them a driver's license. The whole thing's out of control. Let's face it. This is ridiculous.

Starting point is 00:24:03 That's a technical immigration term i happen to know since i've helped people become legal um that is a immigration uh term which means you're you're allowed but you're on parole as in you can't violate your parole it's restrictions it's not like a prison parole it's a different type of it sounds like if you can't violate and you get restrictions sounds like a prison parole to It's a different type of parole. Starting point is 00:25:19 soon welcome some palestinians from gaza as refugees cbs news has obtained internal documents showing senior biden administration officials have discussed several options for resettling a small number of Gaza residents. It would include those who have immediate family members who are U.S. citizens or permanent residents. In the last fiscal year, the U.S. resettled 60,000 refugees from around the world. Just 56 were Palestinian. There was a second short clip here when they just got this news. It was exclusive, by the way, to CBS, exclusive to CIA broadcasting. That tells you something.
Starting point is 00:25:55 This news exclusively on CBS News. The Biden administration is considering a plan to allow some... Now listen, now listen carefully because there's some nuggets in here. ...Palestinian refugees to come here to the United States. That's according to internal federal government documents that were obtained by CBS's Camilo Montoya Galvez. According to the plan, some Palestinians fleeing the war would be offered a permanent safe haven here in the U.S. And one option under consideration is to allow those who have immediate family members who are either American citizens or permanent residents to enter the country if they pass various background checks. Check this out. The plans would require coordination with Egypt, which has so far refused to allow large numbers of people from Gaza to cross the border into that country. border into that country. Now, Egypt is interesting because we know that Egypt took 7 billion euros from the European Union to create camps. I'm sure there'll be holiday camps. And so, you know,
Starting point is 00:26:56 they still have their border with Gaza closed. So they'll open that up, but you can only do one of two things. You can either come into the camp or maybe this is your option. These photos show the floating pier that the U.S. military is constructing off the coast of Gaza to deliver desperately needed aid to the enclave's population. According to a U.S. official, the pier, once completed, will be used to deliver 150 aid trucks per day with the World Food Programme leading delivery operations. Israel said it will provide logistical support during the building work. The U.S. Secretary of State has urged Israel to do more to address humanitarian needs in Gaza, adding that the most effective way to attenuate the crisis is a ceasefire, a view echoed by many. Now we have an aircraft carrier off the coast there.

Starting point is 00:28:26 Early this morning, protesters at Columbia University linked arms and barricaded the entrance of Hamilton Hall. From the inside, activists piled furniture, chained up doors and smashed windows. The same building has been occupied by demonstrators in decades past, including over the Vietnam War and later against apartheid in South Africa. This time, though, protesters unfurled a banner and dedicated the building to Hind Rajab, a six-year-old who died in Israel's war against Hamas. Colombia today locked down the campus to outsiders, limiting access to students living in campus residences and essential employees. The university said today that students occupying the building would be expelled. So this is a complete replay, manufactured replay of what happened in the 60s with the student protests against Vietnam.
Starting point is 00:29:26 Very different now, of course, because it's organized by different entities. But we have Morning Joe always read in on everything, and they're calling it. Starting point is 00:30:59 that's why i give you credit this is uh they have they have to have, they can't keep this war going until August, which is when the convention is. It's just, they can't do it because they're already down in Rafa and they've got the rubbleized everything. We played a clip on the last show that indicates the place is already gone. And so moving in troops, it doesn't make any difference. There's nothing there. But, and it was going to take, what, 14 years to get the rubble out? It's that bad. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:31:29 So they've got to have a ceasefire. And that ceasefire has got to last a couple of months to put this off a little bit. And then there has to be a violation of the ceasefire, whether it's real or phony. I would guess it's phony. You would probably agree with that. Some phony baloney thing would happen and they get the war going again. They get the students back off
Starting point is 00:31:54 their asses. Now they're going to go to the convention in Chicago. And they'll be all wound up. I like it. Now I have a Columbia rap which I think includes the removal of everybody. This is from NTD.
Starting point is 00:32:11 Columbia. Yes, got it. Approximately 300 people were arrested at Columbia and City College. We are processing the arrest to distinguish between who were actual students and who were not supposed to be on the ground. These external actors with a history of escalating situations and trying to create chaos,
Starting point is 00:32:32 not to peacefully protest, but create chaos. The NYPD released a video of a professional protest consultant who was reportedly seen instructing protesters outside Hamilton Hall. Hold on. I like professional protest consultants. I mean, professional protesters, yes, but a consultant, that sounds like an exit strategy, John. Yeah, we could be podcast consultants, we could do that, but that's the money in that occupying students made human chains destroyed security cameras and took steps to avoid arrest police say these tactics clearly point to outside influence they warn the methods can spread to anti-israel encampments at other
Starting point is 00:33:19 schools in a letter to the nypd the president of Columbia University asked for police to stay on campus until at least May 17th. The encampment has now been cleared from the lawn of the university. Students arrested now face expulsion from the school and criminal charges. At City College, protesters lit flares and clashed with police. After clearing out agitators, the NYPD removed a Palestinian flag from the campus flagpole and raised the American flag. College authorities stated that calling the NYPD was a response to repeated acts of vandalism and violence and not a crackdown on peaceful protest. Violence continues on college campuses. Nationwide, over 1,000 protesters have been arrested. Yeah, I'm going to add to this theory about the ceasefire. I mean,
Starting point is 00:34:16 we know when there's code, there's code. It comes as Secretary of State Anthony Blinken meets with Arab leaders in the Middle East, calling a new ceasefire proposal presented to Hamas extraordinarily generous. The only thing standing between the people of Gaza and a ceasefire is Hamas. They have to decide, and they have to decide quickly. The proposal reportedly includes a 40-day truce, combined with the release of potentially thousands of Palestinian prisoners. The New York Times reports Israel dropped its previous demand for 40 hostages, now willing to accept 33.

Starting point is 00:42:12 i wanted to get back to the riots and because i had one more clip which i because i think there's some language in here that i wanted to discuss this is ucla riots which were more uh amusing than the ones back east because there was a huge fight that broke out because there was counter protesters and they got into a scuffle the violence broke out sorry and and play and the violence broke out around 11 p.m on tuesday into wednesday morning when approximately 50 counter protesters dressed in dark clothing with hoods and white masks storm the barricade attempting to dismantle it. Footage shows the two groups striking each other with bats and wooden objects.
Starting point is 00:42:51 One of my friends has a massive bump on the back of his head. He just got whacked when he was up there. I mean, they were coming up here and just like violently attacking us. Unarmed security guards had to retreat as fireworks were fired at the encampment exploding close to the tents at roy squad oh no we had people mazing us beating us with bats and sticks throwing whatever they could to us and none of this law enforcement was here at all stopping now back it up a little bit uh you know these look some of the language usage and these are college kids. When somebody's throwing something at you, you don't say they're throwing something to you.

Starting point is 00:44:47 A lot of cars right now, so it's crazy. The situation seemed to have calmed down in the hours following the police arrival. No arrests were made. The Jewish Federation of Los Angeles said in a statement, the abhorrent actions of a few counter-protesters last night do not represent the Jewish community or our values. We believe in peaceful civic discourse. Unfortunately, the violence at UCLA is a result of the lack of leadership from the chancellor and the UCLA administration.
Starting point is 00:45:14 However, the violence prompted the university to cancel all classes on Wednesday. Governor Gavin Newsom addressed the violence on X, stating, The right to free speech does not extend to inciting violence vandalism or lawlessness on campus officials also declared that royce hall will remain closed until friday so the the house passed a resolution you know they passed a bill it's now law a resolution resolution yes people have to differentiate these two things yeah so resolution is uh hey we think a statement yeah it's it's like a virtue signal yeah hey you suck statement yes well it is the view of congress that you suck so now what they
Starting point is 00:46:00 did is they um came out with what they say the official definition of anti-Semitism, which would include, as we determined, illegal chants such as from the river to the sea. And that would not be protected under free speech because it's like yelling fire in a crowded theater. Yeah, hardly. Well, this is what they're saying. Well, this is what they're saying. And so they have amended Title VI, which doesn't mean that it's not like a law was passed. It's like Title IX, which everyone's ignoring, which we'll get to. is for federal money to flow to universities, and I presume in the future any federal money, and it's saying, you can't have this happen unless we tell you it's okay to do it.

And we're going to have monitors in there, and then we will stop your federal funding which as it turns out is a very small amount of money to these universities and i think the only the only thing that these clearly organized protests have in common is you know their demand is is the demand is not hey genocide joe you, stop sending military stuff to the genociders. In its ruling, the ICJ said, quote, The court considers it particularly important to remind all states of their international obligations relating to the transfer of arms to parties to an armed conflict in order to avoid the risk that such arms might be used to violate the above-mentioned conventions. The change would not legalize recreational marijuana, the possession and distribution of which is still a federal crime, but would recognize it as a drug less likely to lead to addiction. Public opinion has shifted dramatically in the last 20 years, from 34% of Americans who believe marijuana should be legal to 70%. Nearly half of states have legalized marijuana for recreational use. But tonight, one opposition group says the cannabis industry has lobbied heavily to sell demonstrably harmful products and calls out the Biden administration for a, quote, thinly veiled attempt to reverse polling trends.

You could die of sepsis if some, like a leg is left in there. And I know I'm making it sound crude, but the Planned Parenthood, they use this term POC, which is parts of conception. And you don't want a part of conception left inside the womb. So the loophole, I think, is, well, it puts the mother's life in danger so you can wait longer. Ah, good one. Yeah.

Starting point is 01:06:12 and i have people which means she can basically hold a vacuum tube who do not have the training or the expertise or the knowledge to do this telling me that i can't and more importantly telling women that their reproductive freedoms and their bodily autonomy don't matter. Florida became the 21st state to implement a partial or total ban on abortion since the Supreme Court overruled Roe versus Wade in 2022. Have you seen the ads that Biden has put out? And it's like a little movie trailer, and there's
Starting point is 01:06:46 a couple of young women in a car and one's driving and her friend next to her is like, we're almost across state line. It's going to be okay. We're going to make it. And then the cop pulls her over. Oh, brother. Yeah, yeah. And the cop says, where are we going, ma'am?
Starting point is 01:07:02 You're crossing state line. I'm going to need you to take this pregnancy test. I mean, that's how sick we've become. pain uh of target that's all they got and so they're gonna that's probably gonna be the least of it that sounds like a very creative ad for the scare the scare the young girls you know college age girls that are you know fearful that they're gonna get pregnant they won't have any out besides using complete new speak 1984 language of reproductive rights and women's health care just call it what it is in fact it's like and i've always said capital punishment the death penalty it's okay as long as you televise it yeah you want to abort your baby good then it should you know you should stream it on this rock i think had the best bit on it. I wish we should. I should get a clip from his last act.

Starting point is 01:08:35 Get some super chats. So here's the clip. AZ abortion tossed. AZ abortion tossed. It's so gruesome, these people. The Arizona State Senate today voting to repeal an 1864 abortion ban previously upheld by the state's highest court. The legislation restricts abortions in most cases, except when the mother's life is in danger. It took 16 votes in the GOP-led chamber to overturn the ban.
Starting point is 01:09:03 A total of 14 Democrats, along with two Republicans, voted to repeal it. Arizona Governor Katie Hobbs is expected to sign the measure into law. Going forward, the bill could pave the way for Arizona to go back to a 15-week abortion ban. But getting there could take a while. That's because the repeal won't go into effect until 90 days after the end of legislative session. That brings up another one of my logical questions. Why? Why does it take 90 days?
Starting point is 01:09:35 Why don't you just put it in there? It takes effect immediately. For campaigning. Money can flow for campaign issues. Yeah. Yeah. That's probably right. Yeah. This is no one actually Yeah. That's probably right.
Starting point is 01:09:49 This is, no one actually cares about women's health care. Nobody cares about anything about being in office. No one. They don't care. They don't care. They only care about getting elected. And I'll tell you, talking about getting elected, I have rethought. Uh-oh. And I, you do this.
Starting point is 01:10:02 That must have hurt. I should do it more often. I've rethought my position on Mike Johnson. And I have two clips. What was your original position? That the CIA or somebody came up to him and said, hey, look at this picture. Yeah. What's that in your mouth, you think?

Starting point is 01:11:11 You need to be protected. What the country needs right now is a functioning Congress. House Speaker Mike Johnson said Tuesday it was the first he'd heard of Democratic leaders, signaling they would help him keep his job. You know, you hope you have the support of everyone, the entire country. But, you know, like I said, I've got to do my job and continue to keep my head down. This is a very serious time for the country. We're not playing games here. The world is on fire.
Starting point is 01:11:40 Johnson has come under fire from some Republicans for his role in passing the $95 billion emergency spending bill this month. He says it's no time to be playing politics and engaging in chaos. We need to be doing the job that the framers intended for Congress to play. And that's what I'm about. I'll continue to pursue that every day. And, you know, we'll keep the wheels of government functioning. Okay. Okay, well, I'll hold off the commentary until the second clip. We'll play the second half. A small number of gop members could oust johnson a speaker if democrats voted with them minority leader hakeem jeffries and other democratic leaders say after finishing work on the national security supplemental they won't just let that happen none of the discussion that we had in caucus was about saving mike johnson the underlying motion to vacate um was not. The motion to table was.
Starting point is 01:12:27 House Democratic Caucus Chair Pete Aguilar says leaders are not asking anyone to take a position opposed to their values. Each member is going to vote their district and their conscience guided by the Constitution. Congressman Aguilar says many are leaning to set aside any move by Greene to take away Johnson's gavel. We want to turn the page. We don't want to turn the clock back and let Margie Taylor Greene dictate the schedule and the calendar of what's ahead. Congresswoman Greene filed a motion to vacate with the House clerk last month. The resolution would remove Johnson if approved by the House. The Congresswoman on X, saying Johnson should resign and switch parties.
Starting point is 01:13:04 Greene wrote she wants transparency and congress to go on the record to show where they stand mike johnson is not capable of that job he has proven it over and over again okay i'm curious about your analysis and commentary well here's what happened so mike john did this marjorie taylor green who may be part of the scheme i'm not sure i can't put't put her on that side of it. Okay. But she put the order to vacate before the budget vote where he backed off on his original thinking, which was first he's holding up the bill to send more money to Ukraine and elsewhere,
Starting point is 01:13:39 because we went over that in most of his bullcrap. But it's beside the point. He was not supposed to let that thing go through without some border protection. They had to put something on the border. They got to put some border money, anything. So he didn't. He just went along with the Democrats' proposal and gave, you know, pushed the pile of money through. And then that got everybody bent out of shape, especially Marjorie Taylor Greene, who may or may not be part of a scheme. And then it's supposedly, as we've talked about on the show, he goes in and intelligence talks to him. And somehow he switches his mind and all of a sudden changes his position.
Starting point is 01:14:13 And he says it puts the puts the vote to the House where he was holding it. He was keeping it from going to the floor. But now he said, OK, goes to the floor. And they passed it with a lot of Republicans that voted for it. Yeah. And so what what it seems more likely now that happened instead of the picture of him, the photo here, look at this. It was they went up to him, said, look. And I'm going to say it's the CIA. We have a lot of Democrats that are on our payroll. As well as your Republicans. You're going to get, they're going to try to vote you out, but we're going to, we're
Starting point is 01:14:47 going to make it so the Democrats will back you this time. Unlike with the last speaker, McCarthy, where all the Democrats voted him, you know, no, and everybody got rid, they got rid of McCarthy. Yeah. But they're not going to get rid of, rid of Johnson. And it would go like the conversation go like this. Look, if you pass this bill. We'll back you on this and you can stay and you're going to you have to sort of Damocles hanging over your head with Marjorie Taylor Greene and your other conservative buddies.
Starting point is 01:15:17 They're going to oust you, but we'll prevent that from happening by giving you a big pile of Democrats that will vote yes to keep you, then you're good to go. You got your job for as long as you want it. And it's a political deal instead of a blackmailing deal. No, that makes total sense. It makes a lot of sense. And it's a smart money way to go. And that's what's going to happen. And also, he took the heat away from the 100 Republicans who voted for the bill. Right. Because everyone's Mike Johnson, Mike Johnson.
Starting point is 01:15:49 Yeah, they targeted him instead. And that's where Marjorie Taylor Greene comes in, where typically she would go after everybody who voted for the bill. But I think it was 100 Republicans. It was a lot. It was ridiculous. You know why? Military industrial complex, defense industrial base. That's where the real money is.
Starting point is 01:16:06 Look at the money. Trillion dollars. A trillion dollars. And so Johnson is good to go. He's not going to be one of these short-term. He's not going to be an embarrassment to his family by being in there for like, oh, I was Speaker of the House for four months, and that was the end of me. No, he's good to go.
Starting point is 01:16:22 So that's what's going to happen. Honestly, I like the picture theory better. It was a lot of fun here. Starting point is 01:23:08 dementia I primarily use the computer through a screen reader with synthetic speech over the years I've taught myself to listen at this faster and faster so as to take in more information in a shorter time well that's different when it's reading text I think
Starting point is 01:23:24 because you know, we put in pauses, inflection, et cetera, to take you on a journey, to help you ride the wave of our performance. He listens to books at least 1.5 as well, but for whatever reason, I just never considered listening to the best podcast in the universe at anything other than normal speed. Thank you. Starting point is 01:42:21 So this is the big Time magazine interview that has him on the cover. And what she was saying was rule out. He doesn't rule out. Now I can rule out anything. He doesn't say anything. No, he doesn't even use the word violence or political violence. She said she indicated she implied that Trump is is by not ruling it out. He's advocating for political violence and he says nothing of the sort. You know what she needs? She needs Rebecca Weintraub, ASAP.
Starting point is 01:42:55 She continues with her report, and this is just a little more, just a little another backhanded slap against Trump. She's obviously not a Trump man. No, or woman. In the same interview, trump said he would quote absolutely consider pardoning every person convicted for taking part in the january 6th insurrection at the u.s capital well that's supposed to turn away the voters so i have um so this this was a beautiful trump is when it comes to this stuff he's very smart so he did
Starting point is 01:43:24 this time magazine interview and it's it's a great you know he's very smart so he did this Time Magazine interview and it's it's a great you know he's on the cover he's on the cover of Time and the title of the of the issue is if he wins I mean this is this is such great
Starting point is 01:43:39 predictive programming and Jake Tapper laid it out bombshell interview bombshell bombshell interview from bomb a bomb bombshell it's a bombshell a bombshell interview from former president donald trump just dropped in time magazine's cover story called if he wins it features a wide-ranging interview where donald trump tells the reporter and us in his own words what a second term could look like should he win his bid to retake the white house in just moment, the editor behind the interview joins the lead. So what is Trump saying
Starting point is 01:44:09 he will do? Well, a lot. On immigration, Trump says plans are on to use the military to carry out a mass deportation of millions of undocumented immigrants. He's indicated he's willing to sidestep a law that prohibits using American troops against civilians. He says, quote, well, these aren't civilians. These are people that aren't legally in our country. This is an invasion of our country, unquote. Asked about the possibility of political violence if he were to lose the election to Joe Biden, as he did in 2020, Mr. Trump said he was going to win and then, Biden, as he did in 2020. Mr. Trump said he was going to win and then, quote, and if we don't win, you know, it depends.
Starting point is 01:44:51 It always depends on the fairness of an election, unquote. Asked if he would fire a U.S. attorney who refuses to follow his orders to prosecute someone he wants to prosecute. He said, quote, it depends on the situation, honestly. on the situation, honestly, asked if he would consider pardoning every single one of the nearly 800 rioters convicted of attacking the Capitol on January 6th. Trump said, I would consider that. Yes, yes, absolutely. So, I mean, this is not very bombshell. Yes, it's anything but bombshell. He seems to me to be waffling about maybe it could go either way. It reminds me of
Starting point is 01:45:33 there is no evidence that people want to use the mouse. Yeah. It's a great tactic. I think that's, I mean, they want him to win. It's so obvious at this point. I mean, people are talking as if he's already won. And now in the season of reveal, we get this bombshell evidence that, from pajama media, actually,
Starting point is 01:45:59 that, you know, the National Library was ordered to ship off a whole container of paperwork to Mar-a-Lago, which Trump then, of course, threw down somewhere in the living room because, like, what am I going to do with this stuff? So they set him up is what it looks like. Yes, this is a very good story. Do you have any clips on that? You have a link to it in the show notes? I do have a link, yes.
Starting point is 01:46:24 Yeah, it's a good story people should read. And it's got, the attention, it's not part of the, whatever narrative they're running, whatever game they're playing with the public, it's not in it. I think that's just to get them off to, you know, to get rid of some of these cases. I don't know what the point of it was coming out the way it did. Then there's something else that just dropped today, and it's Bombshell. It's another unplayable undercover interview because, you know, once O'Keefe went off to do OMG Media, O'Keefe Media Group, you know, he forgot all that we taught him about recording undercover audio and video.
Starting point is 01:47:08 So it's unintelligible. It only works if you see it with the subtitles. I did, however, cut together his little interstitials so we can kind of get an idea. This is really fantastic. This is some dude, I think he's Indian of origin. I forget his name. Whatever.
Starting point is 01:47:28 This is another gay thing? No, but it is another honeypot. This is, again, it's on a date. These people are so stupid. Amjed Fasisi also states as fact that Trump is under constant surveillance and even claims they are spying on his ex-wife. Fasisi, this guy is totally toast. Wait, hold on a second. Starting point is 01:49:06 Doesn't she live in a condo in Arizona? Who cares? I think to prove the point that they've got him bugged everywhere. And they're still listening to him. They're still spying on him. Yeah. Well, duh. Duh.
Starting point is 01:49:18 But, you know, this is bombshell. Bombshell. I think the bombshell part is that Pompeo and Haskell, Haskell, Haskell, Haskell, Haskell. Yeah, Haskell. That they would just give him like, you know, top line. They wouldn't give him any details because, you know, we have got to clean this stuff up.

Starting point is 01:50:11 The phoniness of all this level of people. It's great. It's unbelievable. It's highly believable, of course. I know, but you want to say unbelievable. I mean, do we need to see what else do I have?
Starting point is 01:50:27 I don't think I have anything else. What happened to Trump? One of his latest rally redux. That's probably a clip we're playing. Oh, it's always fun to listen to. I'm here in Freeland, Michigan, where former President Trump is holding a rally right after he held one earlier today in Waukesha, Wisconsin. Both of these states are key battleground states in this election. In both of these states, key battleground states in this election.
Starting point is 01:50:49 In both of these states, Trump lost to Biden in 2020. Michigan, he lost by less than three percentage points. In Wisconsin, he lost by less than 1%. However, a poll by the Harvard-Capps-Harris poll this week puts Trump ahead of Biden. 48% of the participants said they would back Trump, 43% for Biden, and 9% said that they were unsure. Earlier, I spoke with Epoch Times reporter on this campaign, Lawrence Wilson, to hear his thoughts about it. These are close races. They're both states with a lot of electoral votes, and so both candidates are vying hard for them. hard for them. And President Trump is here today to bring his message about the economy and particularly hammer, I think, the current president on his job with inflation, because both these states have been pretty hard hit with inflation. President Trump is expected to bring up the inflation under the Biden administration, as well as the record-breaking surge in illegal immigration,
Starting point is 01:51:41 as well as the hush money case that's now entering its third week. And Trump has to appear at every one of these trials or else he faces the possibility of arrest. Yesterday, he was just fined $9,000 by the judge saying he violated a gag order related to the case. This case stems from his former lawyer paying an adult film store, Stormy Daniels, back in 2016, not to go public, and Trump has accused... Wait, didn't we already hear this guy? Is this another guy saying adult p*rn store instead of p*rn star? Is this the same clip?
Starting point is 01:52:14 No, this is a new clip. He's also, this is the same guy, p*rn store. Well, maybe it's, I think, Stormy Daniels star, I think you're getting... I know. I don't know. But the NTD people can't pronounce Starr. And Trump has to appear at every one of these trials or else he faces the possibility of arrest.

Starting point is 01:53:08 We've got, they're talking about stagflation now on CNBC. Did you guys talk about this? Yeah. We talked about it. Is that a real possibility? This is not good. Well,
Starting point is 01:53:20 I don't think personally don't think so because this sort of stagflation, which was the earmark of the 70s, and that's when the term was invented because nobody saw anything like it before, was an element that was so singular to that era that I just don't like. In fact, Horowitz deconstructed it. There's some missing elements from the real definition. And I don't know why they're talking about stagflation personally. Well, everybody listen to DH Unplugged episode 700, the big 700 episode. I have not heard it yet. And I want to go listen to that so I can find out what the missing elements are.
Starting point is 01:54:00 These elements are discussed. Because, I mean, the timeline, 68, convention, big mess, Nixon wins, Trump wins. The timeline is perfect for another downturn. GLAAD, the Gay Lesbian Something Association. I can't remember what GLAAD stands for, actually. Yeah. On Tuesday, GLAAD released the findings of the 19th edition of Where We Are on TV, a report for the media watchdog group that analyzes the number of LGBTQ regular and recurring characters on scripted primetime broadcast, scripted primetime cable, and scripted series on eight major streaming platforms.
Starting point is 01:55:46 primetime cable and scripted series on eight major streaming platforms by the way i read another article that says you probably should not give up your blu-ray and dvd players and discs just yet the expectation that these streaming companies will not last is uh is out there so um but turns So it turns out that we declined from 77 LGBTQ characters to 62. That's a drop of 45% from last year's 139. 38 of the 77 characters not be returning due to ending or cancellations. Of the show. Of the show, yeah. Gee, I wonderations of the show of the show yeah gee i wonder because the show sucked other key findings of 468 lgbtq characters there were 24 transgender characters a decrease of eight from the previous study 232 characters of color oh coc, COC. I like this. We can go from black people to African Americans to people of color to characters of color.
Starting point is 01:56:50 Hey, look, there's a group of character of colors over there. How would you pronounce that? Cox. How racist are these people? I am not. Characters of color. Give me a break. Decrease of 72.

Unfortunately, this bird flu is going beyond chicken. It is going to milk and the latest. We turn to the bird flu concerns here in the U.S. after fighting the virus in some dairy cows in several states. The USDA says it will now sample some ground beef sold at stores in those states where dairy cows tested positive. Authorities say the U.S. meat supply does remain safe.
Starting point is 01:59:05 Meantime, there are reports a bottlenose dolphin in Florida has died from bird flu, possibly the first dolphin in the U.S. to die of the virus. Flipper! Let's stop the presses. Flipper! Flipper! Flipper!
Starting point is 01:59:21 First of all, this reminds me of a story from the 80s about poisoned grapes coming in from Chile. And it's like, so you have a dead dolphin. And you test it for bird flu. Why? What would that test even take place? Was it coughing up feathers? I mean, what would... You got a dead dolphin. Why? Why? What would that test even take place? What was it? Did it? Was it coughing up feathers?
Starting point is 01:59:49 I mean, what would you got a dead dolphin? You know, you do what you don't test it for every possible contagion in the world. This just makes no sense to me. You chop it up and sell us tuna. That's what you do with a dead dolphin. But no, we tested for bird. I probably tested it for COVID so along with this well that's possible so then i don't know if you saw this i don't have a a clip but uh some dead cats from
Starting point is 02:00:14 from drinking milk that had bird flu in it oh poor puss* cats died oh bull crap well of course if you look at the story they died from raw milk, which is double. Oh, they're trying to go after raw milk anyway. So it kind of works both ways. If you've ever been to a raw milk dairy, we have one up in Washington. There's one around here somewhere. It's the cleanest place you've ever seen. They're not feeding them chicken parts or anything else.
Starting point is 02:00:43 They get grass fed. This is all what i told you this is about this is for control of mainly a beef here's a here's a here's a short clip from a female rancher so recently the usda came out with a law stating that all cattle and bison in the united states have to have eid tags we have six months to comply with this new law what is an eid tag it's an electronic identification tag that tag stores all the information about our cattle it has vaccination schedules it has feed schedules it has medical history now while that sounds really good on paper there's a part of me that believes this is for a greater purpose.
Starting point is 02:01:30 Most people are processing their livestock through federal or state inspected facilities. Part of me believes that in the future, with these tags, they're going to be able to see everything that you've done with that cow. And if you don't do what they want, will they let you process? I don't know. So that's exactly. Wait, wait, wait. When she says part of me believes, what part? Her left leg?
Starting point is 02:01:50 I mean, what does that mean? Oh, don't. Part of me believes. Don't be a douche. Our anonymous rancher wrote in and said, before I saw this, I was thinking more like John that they wanted testing. And I always think any negative news about cattle is a hit on the beef cattle market to drop prices so the packers can buy animals cheaper. The longer this goes on, the more I worry that you, Adam, may be right,
Starting point is 02:02:13 that they are coming for our cattle. We, not like the chicken and hog producers who are vertically integrated with their packers, but with only four big beef packers, of which one is completely owned by China through Brazil, I would imagine they are scheming to make it that way. We are a defiant bunch. We just need to figure out what's really going on. Good news is that they did the ground beef study, which, by the way, is total. I mean, ground beef from the supermarket could have a hundred different cows in it.

I mean, I will not buy ground beef from the supermarket. Uh-uh. But they did the test, and I have the results here. It just came in from the USDA. Samples of ground beef obtained at retail in the affected states.
Starting point is 02:03:05 Final results posted May 1st 2024 samples were collected at retail outlets in the states in which dairy cattle herds have tested positive for h5n1 influenza virus the samples were analyzed by aphis using a polymerase chain reaction pcr to indicate whether any viral particles were present. No particles were found to be present. So we've passed this test so far. I haven't heard anyone really talk about it because it was yesterday. You'd think that that would be some news, but no, we got to keep it all ramped up,
Starting point is 02:03:39 keep people scared. And of course, this had to come up in the briefing at the White House. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Jean-Pierre. Then it explains, I'm not going to go through the whole explanation of the Constitution, but then it says the Bill of Rights. And it says, it has their it says the Bill of Rights. And it says, it has their interpretation of the Bill of Rights.
Starting point is 02:06:10 Really? Is that hard to figure out? Well, the Second Amendment. What do you think? According to WhiteHouse.gov. Here we go. The Second Amendment on the White House Constitution page reads as such. The Second Amendment gives citizens the right to bear arms.
Starting point is 02:06:32 No, that's not correct. We have the right to bear arms. They just cut this down to one line. First Amendment provides that congress make no law respecting an establishment of religion or prohibiting its free exercise it protects freedom of speech no no they can't do this well they can clearly they're just pairing it down into like you know this constitution gives you the rights. This is all your rights given by the Constitution.
Starting point is 02:07:08 So they don't give you the real basis for all these rights. No. It's to keep the government from interfering. Yes. And to keep the government out of your life. Yes. No, no, no, that's no good. We can't talk about that.
Starting point is 02:07:21 We can't have that. It's part of the idea that there are people, most of them Democrats, that think we should have one national government. The whole state's idea is dumb. And the government should provide for us. It should give us the rules that we should live by instead of what the Constitution really does, which is keep the government from doing stuff they shouldn't be doing. Correct. Correct. Yeah, that's what they teach in school now, too, I'm sure. It's so wrong.
Starting point is 02:07:53 If I'm in the second grade teaching kids, I'm brainwashing kids, I'd put that page right up on the big projector right in front of them and read right from it. Boom. From the government. Must be true so i've been uh tracking what's going on in georgia the country um as we see yes there's some action yes well i'm going to do the give you the setup and then the update of the action this is um the exact same playbook we haven't seen victoria newland uh with cookies yet but there's 20 000 people they're protesting the government because of some russian horrible thing which is really a law which
Starting point is 02:08:32 already they voted on once they're doing they're going to do another second reading and vote on it again but it's majority voted yes that um you you can't if if you are a nonprofit that gets more than 20% of its funding from outside Georgia, then you have to register as such. Hold on a second. Let me get this straight. So I create a nonprofit, let's say in Georgia, the country. Yes. Starting point is 02:10:46 when the ruling Georgian Dream Party reintroduced plans to pass a law critics say resembles Russian legislation used to silence dissent. Well, let's hear from some of those thousands of people on the streets there in Tbilisi. I'm here to protest against the so-called Russian law. This is a law which stigmatizes any free-minded person, a free-minded organization which receives more than 20% of its funding from foreign sources. And there are hundreds of such NGOs who have done so much good for Georgia and now they face being stigmatized and also possibly shut down
Starting point is 02:11:26 because the law gives the powers to the Ministry of Justice to shut any of them at their discretion. We should have a free country and I don't believe in everything that the Georgian Dream has been saying and me and my friends have been on all of these protests for the past two weeks. And we've been fighting for it. And we've missed like three days to be on every single one. I'm angry and I'm sad, kind of. Most of all, I'm very happy that so many people are showing up today. I'm very proud of these people around me because it's fantastic that so many believe in the same cause and i think it's very important for us to believe in this cause so very important to believe in this

Several people were injured, including opposition lawmakers. This is completely illegal what they are doing. People have peaceful protests and you see that they are behaving illegally. This is busy in Iwanish really and people will never surrender.
Starting point is 02:13:04 Georgia people will win this battle. Protesters had tried to block Georgia's parliament amid the second reading of the so-called Russian law. So what we need next are little green men. Remember that? Little green men need to come in. That'll be the Russian people, but it's really snipers on the roof

Starting point is 02:24:05 Trailed by a team of attorneys, Cheng Peng Zhao headed into federal court in Seattle to be sentenced, following his guilty plea for money laundering violations. Inside the courtroom, a judge ordered him to serve four months in prison. Police! Four months? Four months. Wow. Yeah, and oh, and he's got to pay some fines. Big deal. Far less than the three years sought by prosecutors. We thought an incarceration, period of incarceration was critical in this case, and we're pleased that that was the result.
Starting point is 02:24:37 Zhao founded Binance, which grew into the largest cryptocurrency exchange in the world. But federal prosecutors said the company failed to have an anti-money laundering program in place as is required by U.S. law. That allowed terrorist groups like Hamas, as well as drug traffickers, and the Democrat Party, and child abusers, to use the exchange to fund their own criminal activities. This was an intentional act, and this intentional act by the CEO and by Binance made the company large and profitable. Aside from the prison term, Zhao was also fined $50 million.
Starting point is 02:25:15 His company Binance was also implicated in the illegal activity and ordered to pay more than $4 billion in penalties. Prosecutors called the case unprecedented and pushed for double the standard penalty of 18 months for such crimes, saying it could help deter future crimes. However, the judge found Zhao remorseful, cooperative during the investigation, and without any prior convictions,
Starting point is 02:25:41 which factored into the decision to order Zhao to spend four months behind bars. I'm sorry. I didn't mean it. Four months and they put the autistic kid who they put on the cover of Fortune magazine, Forbes, who they completely abused. They throw the book at him 25 years. It's unbelievable. So you may have seen Ozempic personality making the rounds on social media. It's a term used. Have you seen this making the rounds on social media? No, I have not, and I'm on the rounds of social media. I'm like a rounds guy. Ozempic personality. To broadly address changes in mood and attitude, sometimes serious, that some people say that they feel after being on those medications.
Starting point is 02:28:56 Okay, NBC's senior consumer investigative correspondent, Vicki Wynn, is here with a closer look. Hi, Vicki. Hey, good morning, Savannah, Hoda, and Craig. As with any medication, people can expect to experience some side effects. But when you're talking about drugs that can lead to drastic weight loss through appetite suppression, users are also dealing with changes in their habits, how they socialize, and their appearance. And it is all leading some to worry that the medicines are changing who they are.
Starting point is 02:29:21 Oh, it changes who you are. My anxiety is through the freaking roof. It's the latest side effect that's giving some patients pause. I absolutely for months now have been feeling depressed. They say popular diabetes drugs, which are also used for weight loss such as Ozempic and Manjaro, are leading to mood changes and depression in what's been dubbed ozempic personality some users complain they don't feel like themselves their joy dulled i used to be a really positive bubbly like sunshine person and um over the last
Starting point is 02:29:58 year and a half i've kind of lost that since being prescribed ozempic sy, Sydney Foster has lost 90 pounds. She says it's her mental health that's now weighing her down. Is this making you rethink your relationship with this drug that you're using for weight loss? It has been. I know I don't want to have the same mindset forever. If it just means staying skinny, that's not what I want. These injections include the ingredient semaglutide, which regulates hunger and makes you feel full. But experts say its effect on mood needs more research. There has not been any link directly with the drug and any known personality disorder or any known psychiatric condition. But it would not be impossible to see a range of responses, including a change in personality.
Starting point is 02:30:46 possible to see a range of responses including a change in personality i'm thinking we can give you some ssris or antidepressants and clean that right up let's uh let's listen to more what vicky has to say after receiving 175 reports from ozempic and wagovi patients experiencing suicidal thoughts notice it's only those two not the other other products, only those. Found no link between the drugs and suicide, though the administration added it could not rule out that a small risk may exist, and it's continuing to study the issue. Wait, wait. So they found absolutely nothing, but you know.
Starting point is 02:31:24 This is small risk. this is small risk the small risk what's more while wagovi which is approved for chronic weight management lists depression as a possible side effect ozempic which is used to treat type 2 diabetes does not oh boo ozempic boo novo nordis the company behind both drugs says says it collaborates closely with the FDA to monitor the safety of all its medicines. Did you get the check? This latest complaint adding to a growing list from some patients. My biggest side effect was nausea. Health and Wellness Store GNC announcing its locations will now have a dedicated section of items that may help address more common side effects.
Starting point is 02:32:04 Oh, GNC did the buy. Like products that support GI health, muscle mass and bone density, and nutrition. And while doctors say the relationship between mood changes and the drugs needs to be studied, they're hopeful their benefits outweigh potential hazards. I am not worried about it when I weigh the risk of obesity, diabetes, and all the other health conditions against the use of this drug. Who cares? I look great. Who cares? I look I look dynamite.
Starting point is 02:32:35 I don't care how I feel. This is such a sad state. One more clip to close it out short. I mean, so many people are on these drugs now. One more clip to close it out short. I mean, Vic, so many people are on these drugs now. If you are feeling some of these feelings, what do doctors suggest that you do? Yeah, millions of people are on these drugs, Craig. And Dr. Patel says it makes sense that they would have a wide range of responses. But if you feel any changes in your mood, you're not feeling yourself, go talk to a therapist.
Starting point is 02:33:01 Go talk to a counselor right away. And also see a doctor about potentially changing the medication that you're on. That could help you as well. But she says, don't hesitate to seek help. And we should mention, we did reach out to Eli Lilly, the maker of Manjaro. They did not respond to our request. It's interesting because even if it's not the medication that's causing these feelings, a huge life change like that, losing a bunch of weight. It's an emotional change. It's not just a physical change.
Starting point is 02:33:32 And how people treat you and respond to you in your social circles can be another factor that can be isolating if you're the only one making these lifestyle changes. Oh, you need to get your friends on it because if you're the only one getting skinny, all your fat friends, you know, they'll make you feel bad. It's called survivor's guilt. That can be isolating. If you're the only one making these lifestyle changes and the friends you go out with aren't respectful of that or aren't into it, that can also make you feel
Starting point is 02:33:53 lonely. So reach out. Absolutely. Thank you. Reach out. Reach out and get someone on the program. Ooh. Ooh. This is not going to end well. This is going to be a fantastic class action lawsuit in the future.

There's reasons she hated it, but once I explained to her, after editing it, I discovered what I think really happened here, and I want to discuss it after the end,
Starting point is 02:53:48 but this is the good news clip about the poor cat that got packed in a box and shipped to Amazon. She's pretty hidden in there right now. Come on, kitty. Galena is a little timid. She's a hider. It's a game she plays. And she has a guilty pleasure. She loves to play in boxes. It's a game she plays. And she has a guilty pleasure. Starting point is 02:54:05 It's just like part of her personality. But it took her a little too far from home. That was the worst part. We just had no idea what happened. Two weeks ago, Galena vanished. She just mysteriously disappeared. We had absolutely no idea what happened to her. Carrie and Matt Clark spent hours looking for a sign of their
Starting point is 02:54:25 beloved cat. We put tons of flyers up. We contacted friends and family to help us search. We searched for a whole week. But when it seemed all was lost. And then we got the most amazing, insane news in the entire world. A phone call. Galena's microchip was detected 650 miles away near Riverside, California. I just couldn't even believe that she was in California. I thought it was a prank. Like I still, still hard to wrap my brain around. Turns out Galena made her way to California via Amazon. She was trapped in an Amazon package. The Clarks were returning some shoes in this box. And it was in this really big-sized Amazon package. Galena managed to go undetected.
Starting point is 02:55:18 We had no idea, so Matt took her to, took the package to the drop-off without knowing that our dear cat was inside. She was discovered by Amazon employee Brandy, who took her under her care until the family could be reunited. And we are so thankful for Brandy and for everything that she did for our kitty. Galena went six days without food or water in the box. The Clarks say her recovery has been nothing short of miraculous. Like it was just the best because I know that under other circ*mstances that she wouldn't have been found. We're just so happy to have her again. Oh, my goodness.
Starting point is 02:55:50 Oh, my goodness. This is such a good news story, John. I'm so don't don't don't ruin it for me, please. I'm going to ruin it. We listen to this clip. And when you know, one thing about this show is when we listen to clips, you sometimes get intonations and other things. You don't get just what's audio as opposed to looking at something. Especially when you're editing and you're listening to it over and over again. Matt, the husband, put the cat in the box on purpose and shipped him off.
Starting point is 02:56:21 There is no doubt in my mind about it. Mimi agrees with me because she's seen this clip over and over. This was, and when you start listening to the guy's excuse, oh, it's just a big giant box. I don't know how the cat got in there. Bull crap. There's no way you're going to put a cat in a box and lock him in and then haul him to the station without the cat meowing and making a fuss.
