Can you reshape acrylic nails after getting them done? ›

Absolutely. The best way to file down your acrylic enhancements adorned in gel polish is to go slowly and be gentle. Using an e-file is our preferred method because it takes the guesswork out of the equation and makes things easy (and who doesn't need their life to be a little easier? 😌).

Resist Trimming Your Nails

Consult with our nail technicians about the length and shape during your appointment. They will use clippers and/or an e-file to trim and buff your nails, ensuring that you receive your ideal length and shape!

Want to try nails for the first time and want to wear them longer than just a day or a weekend? Then I recommend opting for a set of full-cover gel tips. These can last up to 3-4 weeks and then need to be professionally removed. That way, the natural nails are given time and space to grow again.

Much like at restaurants and hair salons, the industry standard for tipping at the nail salon ranges around 15 to 20 percent, and it is generally recommended that if you've received extra services or specialty designs, a minimum of 20 percent is appreciated.
